Here Come the Holidays!

We have special recipe ideas for you whether you’re planning a traditional holiday meal or building new traditions. Here are four ways we’ll be celebrating around the table this season.

1. Focus on Sides

Traditionally, the meat gets to be the star of holiday meals. A large platter of perfectly browned turkey or glazed ham is presented to hungry, admiring guests and everyone passes around the sides with little fanfare. But, maybe this is the year to pay extra attention to the sides. Your vegetarian family members will appreciate it and you can figure out what to do with that leftover meat later (ahem, we have some ideas).

2. Board in the House

Even If you're celebrating with a smaller crowd (or no crowd) this year, that's no reason to skip some seasonal indulgence. Snack boards and charcuterie are beautiful, can be decadent, and are easily sized to serve whatever number of people have a seat at your table. Get tips on how to make a charcuterie board or on turning snack boards into meals.

Did we mentioned drinks yet? Summer drinks made in the blender shouldn't get to have all the fun. Check out our new holiday, made-in-the-blender favorite—Homemade Eggnog! If it seems like awhile since you've celebrated, read this refresher post where we share our best tips on how to pair food and cocktails.

3. Cookies!

Looking for cookies so good your motto becomes, "One for you, two for me?" We've got you covered! And, yes, if you're looking for cookies to leave on your neighbors' front porches or mail to family and friends, we've got you covered there, too.

4. Pancake Breakfasts

If it's morning, the whole family is home, and there's nowhere else you have to be, a pancake breakfast is tough to beat. And if it's a lazy morning on a long weekend, then special syrup, fun shapes, and a dusting of powdered sugar can make a regular pancake breakfast even more special.
